  2.                     Valley Voice Magazine is Closing Down

  5.     Dear Subscriber or Author:
  6.  
  7.          It is with deep regret that I must inform you that Valley
  8.     Voice will cease publication effective immediately.
  9.  
  10.          There are three primary reasons.  The first reason is
  11.     financial.  I did not receive enough of a response to warrant
  12.     continued printing.  The second reason is that I did not receive
  13.     enough of a backlog of manuscripts to insure the publication of
  14.     further issues.  The third reason is health-related.  As I am
  15.     severely handicapped at present, it would be difficult to
  16.     impossible for me to sell each issue by hand.

  18.           To the authors who submitted manuscripts for the premiere
  19.     issue, my deepest thanks.  To the subscribers, I am refunding $15
  20.     out of the $18 you sent me ($3.00 will go toward the cost of your
  21.     first issue, which is enclosed).

  23.          Thanks to all of you who thought this endeavor worthwhile.
  24.     I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.  I
  25.     hope in the future to resurrect Valley Voice when time, energy,
  26.     funds and talent permit.
